After delay due to the coronavirus outbreak, Prashanth Neel on Sunday wrapped up the shoot of KGF: Chapter 2 in Hyderabad.

“Nothing short of a crazy, exhausting and fulfilling shoot. The best team hands down! @duttsanjay sir a true warrior in real life. @TheNameIsYash a treat to work with as always. An end to the climax shoot. Can’t wait for the world to see ‘KGF Chapter2’ only on the big screen (sic),” tweeted Prashanth.

Sanjay Dutt is the new addition to the KGF franchise. He has been roped in to play the main antagonist Adheera. The other new actors to join the film are Prakash Raj and Raveena Tandon.

KGF: Chapter 2 stars Yash in the lead role. The two-part fictional mob drama traces the journey of India’s most dreaded criminal, Rocky. After losing his mother at a very early age to poverty and sickness, Rocky develops an insatiable urge for power. And his pursuit leads him to gold mines of Kolar, and a turf war ensues.

The Yash- starrer directed by Prashanth Neel, which was left with 25 days of shoot, will resume filming by mid-August. The team, which has completed 90 per cent of the shoot, are left with major fight sequences and a few scenes.

Karthik Gowda, executive producer of the film, said that the preparation work is on and the team is chalking out plans to restart the shoot.

The production house is putting strict preventive measures and Standard Operating Procedures during the time of shooting. According to this, the technicians will be temporarily camped at a nearby hotel, and will not be allowed to venture out until the schedule gets completed.

The first part of the remaining shoot is planned for 15 days, after which the cast and crew will take a short break and the last schedule will be for 10 days where they plan to complete the entire film.

Earlier the makers have revealed the first look of Sanjay Dutt , creating a buzz among the fans. He plays the role of the antagonist, Adheera.

Apart from Sanjay Dutt, the movie has Bollywood actor Raveen Tandon playing a pivotal role in the film. Srinidhi Shetty is the leading lady. The movie is bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films.

KGF Chapter 1, which was made in Kannada and dubbed and released in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi received a lot of appreciation from audiences across India.
