Following her open war against the Maharashtra government and Shiv Sena, a complaint has been filed against Kangana Ranaut for allegedly making statements against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on social media.

According to reports, a case was registered against Kangana at Vikhroli police station in Mumbai. The complaint alleged that the Bollywood starlet has defamed Uddhav Thackeray by stating that he has links with the mafia in the film industry. The complaint has been filed by Nitin Mane, an advocate.

On September 9, Kangana had posted a video on her Twitter page, and in the clip, she alleged that Thackeray has a direct role in ordering the BMC to demolish her Manikarnika Films building. The complaint lodged against Kangana claimed that the chief minister has no direct role in the demolition.

In the meantime, retired Assistant Commissioner of Police Pradeep Lonandka has sent a legal notice to Kangana demanding an apology for her remarks against Mumbai and the police department in the city. The retired police officer also asked the actress to delete the derogatory comments and videos she has posted on her social media pages.

According to Lonandka, allegations made by Kangana are absolutely baseless, and such remarks from an influential person will affect the morale of the entire police department in India’s financial capital.

Web Desk

Maharashtra government has issued a notification to all government departments stating that Marathi language should be used as official language in government office works. The notice also stated that if any one fails to adhere to the new rule, then their annual increment will be delayed.

The circular said that the government officers release the official documents and orders in English due to which there is a huge communication gap between the government and common people. In order to make things more easier for the common man, the Maharashtra government strictly order every government departments to make the use of Marathi mandatory in work. This will also help the commoners to take the benefit from the government schemes.

Earlier in February, the Maharashtra government had passed a law making Marathi language a compulsory subject in all schools. Marathi language will become a compulsory subject from the academic year 2020-21 for classes 1 to 6 in schools in the state.
