NIRMAL YESODA

Scott C Waring is a self-styled alien hunter who is currently operating from Taiwan. The researcher, on his blog, UFO Sightings Daily, has now claimed to have discovered an alien face on Pluto.

Waring spotted this face-like structure after analyzing several Gigapan pictures. In the image shared on UFO Sightings Daily, a creepy face can be seen on the surface of Pluto. Even though the discovery has impressed followers of Waring, skeptics have already dismissed the finding claiming it as a classic case of pareidolia.

According to experts, pareidolia is a unique capability of the human brain to form recognizable images on unknown patterns. However, Waring claimed that the ‘pareidolia agenda’ is set up by the CIA to hide facts about alien existence.

“Some will claim its pareidolia…which is seeing faces which aren’t there. I call that fake news. The CIA has been trying to spread this misinformation to confuse and control what the public thinks about. They have been successful at spreading it, but I cannot be controlled by them,” said Waring.

Waring added that aliens might be living in fully-fledged underground cities in Pluto.

This is not the first time that Waring is making outlandish claims about alien discoveries. A few months back, after discovering a structure very similar to a thigh bone on Mars, Waring had urged Donald Trump to make him the head of NASA. Waring also promised that he will unveil all secrets surrounding alien existence if he gets a chance to work as the head of the US space agency.

Chinese goods worth about Rs 20,000 crore primarily comprising electronics and electrical items, gifts, toys, footwear, home and kitchen appliances – still lie at the Indian ports waiting for clearance, said Confederation of All India Trader Secretary General, Praveen Khandewal. This may lead to increase in inflow of Chinese goods in October to Decemeber.

The traders and importers who had placed their orders in November and December last year are yet to receive a chunk of their consignments. The unprecedented delay in delivery is due to the shutting down of Chinese borders in January and February, followed by the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown in India which lasted for about two months beginning March 25.

However, Khandelwal said that traders have not placed fresh orders with China for these items since March.

India’s imports from China during the April- August period of the current financial year stood at $21.58 billion. This is as 27.63 percent drop compared to the previous year.

India’s decision to reduce imports from China, especially cheap electronic and electrical items including mobile phones, home appliances, gifts and toys- will be a big blow to China. India has initiated talks with Vietnam, Taiwan and South Korea besides boosting its own production through Atma Nirbhar.

Our Correspondent

Starlux Airlines, Taiwan’s newest luxury carrier, has deployed IBS Software’s iCargo platform to manage business and operational functions for its entire cargo business. The iCargo management platform was implemented ahead of STARLUX Airlines’ launch in January 2020, which saw maiden flights to Macau, Penang and Da Nang with three A321neo aircraft. Although Covid-19 has significantly impacted flights, Starlux’s cargo operations have been ramping up quickly during this difficult time.

After a rigorous evaluation process, Starlux Airlines chose IBS Software’s iCargo SaaS-based cargo platform to provide a single, unified platform for all critical functions. iCargo now manages all aspects of Starlux’s cargo business, including sales, airline operations, US customs, mail, Unit Load Device, cashiering, claims, cargo and mail revenue accounting, portal services, data warehousing and business intelligence modules.

“We chose the industry-leading iCargo management platform to achieve our goal of providing the best and seamless cargo service to our customers,” said Glenn Chai, CEO, Starlux Airlines. “So far, iCargo has proved itself to be well worth the investment. It is an advanced digital solution featuring advanced and user-friendly functions. Starlux is very glad to have made the right choice.”

“We were proud to have been selected as a launch partner for Starlux Airlines, our first iCargo customer in Taiwan. As a startup airline, Starlux had strict timelines for implementation and regulatory requirements, and extremely high expectations for the technology and its support of their business model. In IBS Software they found a partner with deep expertise, total commitment to driving business value, and a strong delivery track record. We’re thrilled to welcome Starlux to the iCargo family and to continue our partnership as the airline continues to thrive,” said Head of Cargo & Logistics Solutions, IBS Software, Ashok Rajan,

Starlux plans to expand its network with additional A321neo aircraft scheduled for delivery, plus wide-body A350 XWB aircraft. iCargo is fully enabled to support this future growth and continue to empower STARLUX to deliver on its brand promise to customers.

Over the last 24 months demand for iCargo has gained significant momentum around the world, with 18 implementations going live over this period – including eight new customers.
