Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his apartment on June 14, 2020. Sushant’s father KK Singh registered a case against Rhea Chakraborty accusing her of abetment to suicide. He has also accused her of siphoning off Rs 15 crore from Sushant’s bank account.

Sushant’s death case was first investigated by the Mumbai Police, it was later transferred to the CBI. Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are also investigating his death case. Rhea and her brother Showik Chakraborty were arrested by the NCB. Rhea stayed in jail for a month and was later released on bail.

Rhea Chakraborty had registered an FIR on September 7,2020, with the Mumbai Police. In the FIR, Rhea alleged that Sushant’s sister had procured fake medicine for the actor just before his death. The case was transferred to the CBI.

On January 7, the Bombay High Court reserved its judgment on Sushant’s sister plea seeking to quash the FIR filed against them by Rhea.

This is not the first time that Rashid Siddiqui is getting involved in spreading fake news related to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. On Tuesday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided the residence of Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash. According to reports, investigation officers have apparently seized 1.7 grams of charas and at least two bottles of cannabis (CBD) oil from Karishma’s residence.

During the time of the raid, Karisha was not at her residence, and the search was carried out in the presence of her acquaintances. After seizing drugs, investigation officers tried to call Karishma, but her phone was switched off.

“Prakash’s name cropped up during the questioning of one of the paddlers arrested by us in the case in which we are looking to bust drug networks around Bollywood, Based on the information, we raided her residence today. We found 1.7 grams of charas and at least two bottles of CBD oil. We have called her for questioning tomorrow to NCB, however, her phone has been switched off and we do not know where she is,” said an NCB official.

This is not the first time that the names of Deepika Padukone and Karishma Prakash have popped up in the drug racket case. Following the leakage of a Whatsapp chat, Deepika and Karishma were summoned by the NCB last month.

While recording her statement, Deepika had claimed that she was not discussing narcotics, but was using code words for cigarettes.

According to the reports, a boatman told the NCB that the late actor used to party with Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor at the his farmhouse. In his statement to the NCB, the boatman, Jagdish Das, had claimed that the SSR’s farmhouse was a party destination and his core team and Bollywood friends like Rhea Chakraborty, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and arrested drug-peddling suspect Zaid Vilatra frequently visited the farmhouse.

The boatman also alleged that ganja and liquor were common in their island parties. The farmhouse is now on the NCB radar.

Earlier Rhea Chakrabory in her statement to the NCB, also confessed that she would party with Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Sushant Singh Rajput at the Lonavala farmhouse.

Rhea Chakraborty is currently in Byculla jail for allegedly procuring drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. In a major development in the drug syndicate case, Rhea Chakraborty has allegedly disclosed the names of 25 Bollywood celebrities who use narcotics regularly. According to reports, Rhea has named Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Rhea is currently under arrest, as her bail plea was rejected twice by the court. A report published in Times Now revealed that Rhea has revealed the names of Sara and Rakul in her 20-page long statement given to the NCB. Apart from Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh, Rhea has also revealed that Simone Khambatta is also involved in drug abuse.

After 19 hours of grilling, Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on Tuesday in the drugs case. The 28-year-old actor, named as prime accused in the CBI investigation into Sushant’s death, will be taken for a medical test next at 4pm as part of the formalities.

On day three of her interrogation by the NCB, Rhea Chakraborty admitted she was consuming not just marijuana, but also had drugs.

The actor had earlier admitted ‘procuring drugs’ along with her brother Showik, who has been arrested by NCB. This is another major disclosure made by her, apart from reportedly taking the names of Bollywood stars who were also consuming drugs.

Now, the Mumbai Police has recorded the statement of popular Bollywood film critic Rajeev Masand. According to a report published in PTI, the police apparently questioned Masand about the reviews he has given to Sushant Singh Rajput’s movies.

Earlier, investigation officers citing the words of psychologists and psychiatrists had revealed that the actor was suffering from bipolar disorder. Now, the investigation team is apparently trying to determine whether professional rivalry had triggered suicide tendency in the minds of Sushant.

According to the latest updates, police have recorded statements of more than 35 people as a part of their probe. Some of the noted celebrities who gave their statements to the police include Rhea Chakraborty, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Shekhar Kapur.
