Prithviraj Sukumaran’s new movie Cold Case has started rolling on October 31 in Thiruvananthapuram. The film is being directed by Tanu Balak, and it is expected to be a high voltage crime thriller. The film is scripted by Srinath V Nath.

Prithviraj Sukumaran who has recovered from coronavirus infection is expected to join the shooting of the film next week. The makers of the film have already roped in Aditi Balan to play the role of the female lead in this movie.

Tanu Balak recently revealed that Prithviraj Sukumaran is playing the role of a police officer in this movie. According to the director, Cold Case is a movie that is inspired from real-life incidents that had happened in Thiruvananthapuram.

The director also added that major portions of this film will be shot in indoor locations, as there are only a very few scenes that demand crowd. Cold Case is bankrolled by Anto Joseph, Jomon T John, and Shameer Mohammed.

Cold Case is Prithviraj’s second movie to start rolling after the relaxation of lockdown measures.

The actor had recently worked in the movie ‘Jana Gana Mana’ which is being directed by Dijo Jose Antony. It was during the shooting of this movie that Prithviraj tested positive for coronavirus.

Even though he has recovered from the infection, Prithviraj is continuing in quarantine as an extra precautionary measure.

This upcoming movie that will be shot with a huge budget is being directed by Gokul Raj Bhaskar. This untitled movie will be bankrolled by Prithviraj Productions in association with Magic Frames. The film will be shot simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.

Along with Major Ravi’s upcoming Bridge of Galwan, Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is also set to bankroll a movie about India- China conflict. Both the movies are in their preliminary stages.

The film will be honouring the sacrifice of 20 Indian Army personnel who died in a face-off with Chinese troops in Ladakh’s Galwan valley.

The yet to be titled project will be bankrolled by Ajay Devgn FFilms and Select Media Holdings LLP. It is not yet confirmed if Devgn will act in the movie since the cast hasn’t been finalised yet.

Major Ravi’s Indo-Chinese conflict movie focuses on the building of the static bridge that was a key trigger for the skirmish. The movie will be revealing the incidents that happened in the past between India and China and how it has led to the current stand-off. It also sheds light on the Indian army and how badly they defended the border.

Major Ravi’s story will highlight the construction of the Galwan Bridge over Galwan river in Eastern Ladakh, by the Indian army that gave India a significant logistical advantage in terms of transportation of troops.

After Shamna Kasim’s mother filed a case on June 24 in Kochi against six people for allegedly threatening the star in an attempt to extort money, the police team reportedly arrested the main accused, Muhammed Shareef, who is the mastermind behind the crime, along with six others. Rafique who faked his identity and approached the actor with a marriage proposal is another major player in the crime. Now as per latest reports, the police will be recording Shamna Kasim’s statement today in the extortion case.

Shamna, who has been filming in Hyderabad, will be reaching Kochi today to give her statement. As she was filming in Hyderabad, the actor will have to be under quarantine as per guidelines and hence the police will be recording the statement online, through video conferencing.

The whole incident came to light when Shamna’s family filed a complaint. As per reports, the accused approached the actress’ family with a marriage proposal before the lockdown. The con artists claimed that they are from a well-known respectable family from Kozhikode. After developing close connections with the family through phone calls, the group visited Shamna Kasim’s home, captured pictures and videos of the star’s home, and later threatened her and demanded Rs 1 lakh as per the complaint.

The police suspect that the accused are members of a thriving gold smuggling and sex-racket based in Kochi.
