]]> On his 66th birthday, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan launched the title teaser of his next movie. The ace actor announced the movie through his Twitter handle.

“Happy to launch the title teaser of my film today; directed by Mr @Dir_Lokesh Enjoy!, he tweeted.

Titled as Vikram, the movie is directed by Lokesh Kanagraj.  The movie will be an Anirudh musical. The title is a throwback to Kamal Haasan’s first production from 1986. Vikram was also the title of a 1986 action adventure-film directed by Rajashekhar, starring Kamal Haasan and Sathyaraj.

The shooting of the movie will start in next few months. The movie is produced Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran under the banner of RajKamalFilmsInternational.

The 2-minute long intriguing teaser feature Haasan preparing a feast with some of the important dignitaries who were masked. However the feast is all suspenseful and has many secrets, as Haasan bullet-proofs the house, tucks and hides guns and axes under the table, windowpane and book shelf. The caption of the film says, “There lived a ghost” before blurring out a montage of various weaponry.

The rest of the cast and crew will be announced soon.

]]> After a brave battle against the illness for nearly two months, legendary Indian singer SP Balasubrahmanyam took his last breath on September 25. A big blow to the Indian entertainment industry, SPB’s death has literally shocked the entire nation, and people are paying their final tribute to the man who mesmerized everyone with his magical voice.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his Twitter page wrote that the death of SP Balasubrahmanyam has made the Indian cultural world a lot more poorer.

“With the unfortunate demise of Shri SP Balasubrahmanyam, our cultural world is a lot poorer. A household name across India, his melodious voice and music enthralled audiences for decades. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with his family and admirers. Om Shanti,” wrote Modi on his Twitter page.

Rahul Gandhi also shared his condolences on Twitter, and he wrote that the songs of SP Balasubrahmanyam have touched a million hearts, and his songs will live on forever.

Popular singer Shreya Ghoshal revealed that she was fortunate enough to get the blessings of SPB, as the duo have sung several songs together.

“Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam, popularly known as SPB, has been the refreshing notation of film music spanning over five decades, enthralling the connoisseurs and common people alike through his multifaceted talent,” said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Kamal Haasan who shared a close friendship with SPB posted a tribute video on his Twitter page, while Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi called September 25, the darkest day for the world of music.

Rajinikanth expressed his condolences and revealed that the memories of SPB will live forever. In his video, Rajinikanth stated that SP Balasubrahmanyam was a real gem of a person, who marked his presence felt in all Indian languages.

]]> Lokesh Kanakaraj is one of the most talented directors in Kollywood, and his previous movie ‘Kaithi’ was a blockbuster at the box-officer. The director is now awaiting the release of his new movie ‘Master’ that features Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles.

In the meantime, Lokesh Kanagaraj has announced his next movie, and it will have none other than Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan in the lead role. This film will be the actor’s 232nd project in his career, and the makers have now titled it ‘Evanendru Ninaithaai’.

Lokesh Kanagaraj himself released the first look poster of this movie, and it clearly indicates that the film will be an in and out action thriller. The first look poster is dipped in blood red color, and it carried the tagline ‘Once upon a time, there lived a ghost’. Expectations surrounding this movie have already reached new heights, as Evandendru Ninaithai marks the union of two impeccable talents, Kamal and Logesh.

Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the music for this film. Evandendru Ninaithai will be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan himself in the banner of Raj Kamal Films Internation (RKFI). The film is scheduled to have its theatrical release on the summer of 2021.

Earlier, several online reports had claimed that Logesh Kanakaraj has decided to release his upcoming movie Master via OTT platforms, as theaters in the country remain closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, Logesh Kanakaraj soon clarified that the film demands a theatrical hit, and it will be released soon after the reopening of movie halls in the country.

On the other hand, Kamal Haasan’s previous movie to hit the theaters was Vishwaroopam 2. Even though released with a huge pre-release hype, the film bombed at the box-office. Fans of Kamal Haasan believe that the actor will end his hit draught as he is now joining hands with a hitmaker like Logesh.
