In the poster, Dileesh Pothan revealed that this upcoming movie will be based on William Shakespeare’s drama Macbeth. The film also marks the union of Shyam Pushkaran and Dileesh after Maheshinte Prathikaram. Acclaimed cinematographer Shyju Khalid will crank the camera for this film.

Apart from Fahadh Faasil, Baburaj and Unnimaya Prasad have been also roped in to play crucial roles in this film. Justin Varghese who had composed the soulful songs for movies like ‘Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela’ and ‘Thanneer Mathan Dinangal’ will handle the music department of ‘Joji’.

Expectations surrounding this movie have already reached sky high, as it marks the union of some of the most talented technicians and actors in Mollywood. On the other hand, Fahadh Faasil is currently awaiting the release of his new movie Malik, directed by Mahesh Narayanan. This film is also produced by Anto Joseph in the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company.

Malik was originally scheduled for a theatrical release a few months back, but due to the coronavirus outbreak, makers decided to postpone. Recently, several reports claimed that the makers of Malik may opt for an OTT release. However, considering the wide canvas of the movie, Mahesh Narayanan will be happy to release it in movie halls, as movies like these demand theatrical watch.

Apart from Fahadh, Malik also stars Nimisha Sajayan, Joju George, Maala Parvathi, Dileesh Pothan, Divya Prabha, and Salim Kumar in other prominent roles. Sushin Shyam has composed the music of this film, while cinematography is handled by Sanu Varghese.

V K Prakash also said that he is ashamed of Alphonse Puthren for his comments about the movie and he is disrespecting the profession by making such comments.

It was in a channel interview seven years back, director Alphons Puthran said that the negative factors are not just prevailed in film industry, but in the media world as well. He added that only three or more films had the sexually explicit contents.

He said that Trivandrum Lodge got U certificate when it has explicit dialogues.

V K Prakash further wrote, “Pls to confirm that trivandrum lodge is not a U certificate film and it’s UA … and that point of time censer officer has clarified that WY that film is given UA certificate… and I disagree with his coments on other directors film… cz I cn point out… then as a director hw cn one cinema known on directors name and other film known on writers name… complete distespect towords his on proffeseion…it’s shd nt be in popularity it’s shd be with the work my dear friend… shame on u.. alphonse putran pls understand I don’t know wn this interview has com out but wnever its bad .”

In the work front, Alphonse Puthren is uniting with Fahadh Faasil’s for his next venture, titled “Paattu”.

VK Prakash is currently working on the post-production of a Malayalam film, “Oruththi”, and a Kannada film, “Vishnupriya”. The former, which has Navya Nair making a comeback after a brief hiatus, is being planned as a theatrical release.

“My next feature film’s name is Paattu (song). Fahadh Faasil is the hero of the movie. Produced by UGM Entertainments (Zacharia Thomas and Alwin Antony). This time I’ll be doing music too. It will be in the Malayalam language. Will update the rest of the Crew and Cast members while the feature film progresses,” wrote Alphonse on his Facebook page.

Just like Paattu, Premam was also announced without much hype, and the makers did not even release the trailer of the movie. Fahadh Faasil’s ‘C U Soon’ directed by Mahesh Narayanan begins with a very touching opening credit scene. In this scene, the makers have penned a note stating that the production of this movie has helped them to pay remuneration to several film workers who are having bad times due to unemployment due to the coronavirus pandemic.

From the very first scene where the director showcases the message snippets between two lovers, director Mahesh Narayanan promises that something big is there on the store, and he succeeded in maintaining that pace until the end credits start rolling.

Mahesh Narayanan and Fahadh Faasil offer a digital ride

In the movie, we can see Roshan Mathew (Jimmy), and Darshana Rajendran (Anu) playing the role of lovers. Even though they are deeply in love, they have never met each other, and they have communicated only through digital means. One day, Jimmy introduces Anu to his mother and sister, and the duo decides to get married. However, at one point in time, things take an unexpected turn when Anu gets beaten up badly, and Jimmy escapes Anu from her house.

Later, Jimmy meets Anu’s father and talks about their affair. But shockingly, Anu sends her suicide note and flees from Jimmy’s flat. A horrified Jimmy now seeks the help of Kevin (Fahadh Faasil), and both of them start searching for Anu.

In the movie, there are very few characters, but the director has succeeded in establishing each of these characters with perfection. Roshan Mathew, as a frustrated lover, is good in his role, and for Fahadh Faasil, the role of Kevin was just a cakewalk. Darshana Rajendran succeeded in playing the role of a distressed Anu with perfection on screen.
