The stock market rose for the third day in a row. The market has been strong for three days.
The market was able to make up for the loss of last Friday in three days. Friday was the biggest daily loss in nine months. But the market quickly overcame this selling pressure.
The Nifty rose above 15,200. The Nifty closed 2.2 per cent higher at 15,245. The Nifty Bank index rose 2.7 per cent to close above 36,000. Public Sector Bank Index rises 3%
The Nifty Metal Index was the biggest gainer. The Nifty metal index was up 3.3 percent. The Nifty IT index was up 1.9 per cent and the Nifty Pharma index was up 1 per cent. Meanwhile, the Nifty Auto Index fell 0.7 per cent. The Nifty Midcap Index was up 1.7 per cent and the Smallcap Index was up 1 per cent.
A total of 1,195 shares of NSE gained while 685 shares lost.
