Shriya Saran shares her experience working with SS Rajamouli in RRR

NIRMAL YESODA
It has been previously reported that popular South Indian starlet Shriya Saran will play a crucial cameo role in the movie RRR which is being directed by SS Rajamouli. According to the latest updates, the makers have completed filming the portions that will feature Shriya, and the actress has shared her experience working with Rajamouli in this mega-budget film.

Shriya is working with Rajamouli after 15 years. In 2005, they have worked together in the movie Chathrapathi that had Prabhas in the lead role.

“Although it’s a cameo appearance, it felt great to work with SS Rajamouli again after Chatrapathi (2005). He has a grand vision and he’s trying something very different. Just being on the sets of RRR made me feel like I was part of something very special. I hope this pandemic is over soon so that they can wrap up the shoot and release the film,” Shriya told Times of India, in a recent interview.

In the movie, Shriya will share screen space with Ajay Devgan, but her role will not have an on-screen appearance with Jr NTR and Ram Charan. During the interview, Shriya lauded Ajay Devgan for his professionalism, and called him ‘a great guy to be around’.

“It’s a small role and I will share the screen with Ajay Devgan. He’s a thorough professional and a great guy to be around. I had a great time working with him. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to work with Tarak and Charan, but I’m sure they’ll be great in the film,” Shriya said.

RRR is expected to be a period action-drama, and a fictional story about freedom fighters in India. The film bankrolled by D V V Danayya is being made with a mammoth budget of Rs.400 crores.
