Abu Dhabi ∙ In a significant step towards strengthening humanitarian efforts, Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been appointed Chair of the Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity, while Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been named Vice Chair, under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Both appointees hold senior positions within the Presidential Court — Sheikha Mariam as Deputy Chairperson for National Projects, and Sheikh Hamdan as Deputy Chairman for Special Affairs. Their leadership is expected to further the foundation’s mission of driving meaningful impact through philanthropy and inclusive development.
“The Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity reflects the philanthropic legacy of our nation and the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It is an honour to continue guiding this commitment towards serving humanity,” said Sheikha Mariam.
The Foundation is focused on expanding human potential, improving global health, and empowering vulnerable communities through innovative and sustainable development initiatives. It aims to invest in scalable solutions that enable people around the world to thrive.
Over the next five years, the Foundation plans to impact the lives of more than 500 million people across 50+ countries, spanning Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Its initiatives will align with global health priorities and inclusive development goals, reinforcing the UAE’s role as a global humanitarian leader.
