Sexual assault case: Police recover more evidence against MLA Eldhose Kunnappillil

 

On Monday, the probe team carried out evidence collection at the complainant’s house, a guest house in Kovalam and a hotel in Thiruvananthapuram.

 

Kochi: The Crime Branch team probing the sexual assault case against Perumbavoor MLA Eldhose Kunnappillil recovered more evidence against him. The The probe team has been conducting evidence collection in places where the woman was sexually assaulted by the MLA.
In her complaint to the police, the woman, who is a private school teacher, alleged that Eldhose sexually abused her multiple times at 7 places. The The evidence collection is being held based on this statement. Police recovered Eldhose Kunnappillil’s T-Shirt from the woman’s house at Pettah in Thiruvananthapuram. It will be sent for scientific examination.

At the same time, the probe team will conduct evidence collection at the residence of the MLA in Perumbavoor. As per the complaint, the MLA had taken the complainant to his house and sexually assaulted her. Meanwhile, the probe team continues to remain clueless about the MLA’s hideout. It is learnt that Eldhose Kunnappillil is absconding from police. He also skipped the Congress President Election held on Monday. The High Court will consider his anticipatory bail plea on Thursday.
