Schools in UAE to continue e-learning for two weeks

In order to protect the health and safety of students, teachers and school staff,the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, in coordination with Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, has approved remote learning for the first two weeks of the new school term, starting January 3, 2021, for all students in both public and private schools in the emirate.

The committee also noted that all students, teachers and school staff returning to the UAE from international travel through any of the country’s airports or ports must adhere to quarantine measures implemented in Abu Dhabi emirate.

The Ministry of Education had announced through Twitteron December 29 that all students would follow a distance learning model for the first two weeks and it would issue further updates depending on the Covid-19 situation.
For the shifts of administrative and technical staffs in schools, 50 per cent of the staff’s capacity will be allowed at a time in schools.
