Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior, in partnership with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), has launched a unified digital platform for Hajj permits, known as “Tasreeh”.
Designed to serve both domestic and international pilgrims, the platform issues official licences and permits authorising entry into Mecca and the holy sites. Through full technical integration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah via the Nusuk platform, Tasreeh platform ensures that only authorised individuals are granted access during the upcoming Hajj season.
The platform is also designed to facilitate entry for workers, volunteers, and the vehicles transporting them. All permits can be viewed and verified through the national Tawakkalna application, streamlining coordination and enforcement.
Developed by SDAIA in collaboration with all relevant government entities, Tasreeh enhances interoperability across agencies, standardises procedures, and contributes to delivering high-quality services to pilgrims. It plays a key role in achieving the objectives of the Doyof Al Rahman Programme, a flagship initiative under Saudi Vision 2030.
A key innovation of the platform is its integration with the Maidan application, enabling security personnel at Mecca’s entry points to automatically read and verify digital permits. This marks a significant technological advancement, offering a fast, flexible, and secure approach to managing access during one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
