Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 14 postponed, but why

NIRMAL YESODA

The 14th edition of Bigg Boss, one of the most popular reality shows in India was supposed to begin on September 05, 2020. However, according to the latest updates, the premiere of this reality show that will be hosted by Bollywood superstar has been postponed.

This year’s Bigg Boss will be different for many reasons. Before the show, the makers have asked the contestants to undergo a 14-day quarantine period, as a part of the coronavirus guidelines. It should be noted that Salman Khan is hosting the show for the 11th time in a row, and his anchoring has played a crucial role in elevating the popularity of Bigg Boss Hindi among Indian audiences.

According to the latest updates, organizers of the show have extended the on-air date of the show for a month, which means Bigg Boss will be premiered only in October. An official confirmation regarding the exact premiere date will be unveiled in the coming days.

Close sources to the show reveal that heavy rain that has been pouring in Mumbai over the past few days have compelled the organizers to postpone the show for a month.

“The channel and makers are forced to push the show by a month as the repair work of the set was affected due to heavy rains lashing Mumbai in the past week. The rains have delayed the repair work and the set is not yet ready for the contestants. Hence, keeping all the precautions and everything in mind, the reality show is now being postponed to October. One of the sources reveals that the makers plan to go live with the show from the 4th of October but nothing has been finalized as yet,” a report in Pinkvilla states.

According to the latest updates, some of the finalized contestants for this year’s show are Jasmin Bhasin, Pavitra Punia, Eijah Khan, and Naina Singh. The exact lineup of the contestants will be revealed only on the premiere date of the show.
