SalamAir takes off with new travel perks launching in January 2025

MUSCAT : Designed to enhance flexibility and customer experience, the new offerings—Express Bag, Priority, and Online Check-In—will provide passengers with more control over their journeys.

With a goal of simplifying travel and cutting costs, SalamAir is introducing a new fare structure that allows passengers to pay only for the services they need. As part of this, passengers can now save RO 1 on their flight by opting for online check-in, which will be available across all of the airline’s booking platforms.
“We believe in letting passengers choose what products they want when they fly,” said Adrian Hamilton-Manns, CEO of SalamAir. “Passengers should have the opportunity to reduce their cost of travel and only pay for what they want. Our first step on this path is to enable passengers to reduce their cost of travel by using online check-in. Passengers can choose to check-in at the airport if they wish, but there will be a charge applied to enable the airline to recover the cost of providing that service,” he emphasized.
In addition to online check-in savings, SalamAir is launching two other products to streamline the airport experience:

Express Bag: This service ensures passengers’ bags are among the first to arrive at the destination, eliminating long waits at baggage claim and offering more time to enjoy the trip.

Priority: This product gives passengers an extra 10kg of checked baggage and priority boarding, allowing them to secure overhead bin space. It also includes access to a dedicated check-in area, ensuring a smoother and faster airport experience.

“These new services are designed to provide our passengers with increased choice and flexibility,” added Hamilton-Manns. “From January, passengers can enjoy more personalization in their travel plans. SalamAir is committed to reducing the cost of travel while providing more options for our customers to tailor their travel needs to meet their personal requirements.”
