Regional Outreach Bureau to observe International Yoga Day

Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will observe this year’s International Yoga Day on June 21, 2020 through online platform considering the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation. The theme of International Yoga Day 2020 is Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family, as decided by the United Nations.
The bureau is associating with National Ayush Mision and the Government of Kerala in organising Webinar on diseases in all districts and online Yoga Video and Quiz competions. The topic for essay competition for High School category is “Yoga as a habit”, and for Higher Secondary category is “Yoga as a treatment”.
The Field Outreach Bureau Palakkad will organise an online workshop in connection with the International Yoga Day. Yoga classes and demonstrations will be conducted as part of the seminar. Competition for students also will be organised along with the seminar.
The Field Outreach Bureau Ernakulam will conduct a webinar on GoogleMeet in the evening. The Kottayam Bureau is to organise online seminars with focus on importance of doing Yoga and meditation by both students and elders during these trying times of COVID-19.The webinar is arranged in coordination with Malavedan community wattsapp group, Narnamohizhi Panchayat in Ranni and the women’s wing of Yogakshema Sabha, Alappuzha District. The sessions will be led by teachers from Art of Living.
