Delhi Capitals won against Royals Challengers Bangalore by six wickets at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi to qualify as the second-placed team in play-offs of IPL 2020. Delhi will now lock horns with top-placed Mumbai Indians in the first qualifier on November 5, while RCB who finished third, will play in the Eliminator against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Earlier, RCB was restricted them to 152 for seven wickets with DC bowlers Anrich Nortje (3/33) and Kagiso Rabada (2/30) putting the brakes. Devdutt Padikkal topscored with 50 (five boundaries), and had a 57-run second wicket partnership with skipper Virat Kohli (29). AB de Villiers hit 35 off 21 balls.
Chasing 153, Shikhar Dhawan (54) and Ajinkya Rahane (60) put Delhi on a successful note.
Nortje was declared man of the match for his fine bowling spell.
Hyderabad secures a spot in the playoffs
Sunrisers Hyderabad presented their best IPL 2020 game in Sharjah on November 3 to gain a place in the playoffs on November 6 against RCB. They posted a 10-wicket victory over table toppers and defending champions Mumbai Indians to jump to the third position in the points table.
Kolkata Knight Riders had to exit the tournament with Royal Challengers Bangalore claiming the fourth place on account of better run rate.

SRH bowlers also presented a splendid performance to restrict Mumbai Indians in the final league match. Seamer Sandeep Sharma came with three for 34, while left-arm spinners Shahzbaz Nadeem (2/19), Rashid Khan (1/32) and pacer Jason Holder 2/25 gave good support. Nadeem was the man of the match.
