Rajinikanth will make an announcement about his political move soon, suspense continues

Actor Rajinikanth on Monday said that he will soon make an announcement about his next political move. He held a meeting with the office bearers of his political outfit, Rajini Makkal Mandram in Chennai.

“The district secretaries told me they will stand by me in whatever I decide. They gave their views and I shared mine. I will announce my decision soon,” Rajinikanth said.

This comes even as doctors have advised Rajinikanth against taking the political plunge over health concerns.

Rajinikanth had on October 29 said he has been advised against entering politics by doctors as he had undergone a kidney transplant in 2016 and also due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The actor’s decision entering politics gets its significance ahead of the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu next year. Assembly elections are due in Tamil Nadu during April –May 2021.

Following a lot of speculations, the actor had in 2017, said that he will enter politics. He had then floated Rajini Makkal Mandram, as a “launch vehicle” for his proposed political party at the beginning of 2018. However ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he refused to contest the elections or enter into an alliance with any political party.
