Prakash Raj, veteran South Indian actor, is known for his outspokenness, and he used to share his opinions on current affairs on his social media pages. Now, Prakash Raj has slammed Kangana Ranaut over her fight with Shiv Sena. In a recent post on his Twitter page, Prakash Raj sarcastically made fun of people who call Kangana the ‘Jhansi Rani of modern India’.
In the picture posted on Twitter, Prakash Raj shared photos of other actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, and others who have previously played historical characters in movies.
“If one film makes Kangana think that she is ‘Rani Laxmi Bai’ then Deepika is Padmavati, Hrithik is Akbar, Shah Rukh is Ashoka, Ajay is Bhagat Singh, Aamir is Mangal Pandey and Vivek is Modi ji,” the meme reads.
Kangana had played the role of Rani Laxmi Bhai in the movie ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’.
The fight between Kangana Ranaut and the Maharashtra government had heated up following the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. After the death, Kangana criticised the Mumbai police for conducting the investigation in a biased manner. She also claimed that Mumbai was an unsafe place to stay.
The comments made by Kangana irked the Shiv Sena leadership, and Sanjay Raut, MP, asked her never to visit Mumbai if she feels so. Soon, BMC demolished Kangana’s Manikarnika Films building.
In the meantime, BJP leadership has now come forward to support Kangana. BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis had asked Uddhav Thackeray to focus on fighting coronavirus, instead of locking horns with Kangana Ranaut.
