Omran Group Signs Six Eco-Tourism Agreements to Boost Sustainable Travel Across Oman’s Nature Reserves

Muscat: The Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group) has signed six strategic agreements to develop eco-tourism projects across various nature reserves in the Sultanate. These initiatives aim to diversify tourism offerings, promote sustainable travel, and empower local communities by integrating environmental conservation with economic development.
The projects are designed to showcase Oman’s unique environmental and geological features, offering visitors distinctive opportunities to explore the country’s rich biodiversity and natural wonders. By focusing on sustainability, these developments align with Oman Vision 2040’s objectives of economic diversification and environmental stewardship.

Omran’s commitment to sustainable tourism is evident in its partnerships with international brands and local stakeholders. For instance, the collaboration with Sri Lanka’s Santani Wellness Resorts will see the establishment of two eco-friendly wellness resorts in Jabal Shams and Dhofar Governorates, emphasizing holistic well-being and environmental harmony .
Additionally, Omran’s involvement in projects like the Oman Adventure Tourism Book underscores its dedication to promoting the Sultanate’s diverse tourism offerings and natural beauty .
