Oman’s Minister of Labour to discuss future of temporary employment contracts

Muscat: Led by His Excellency Dr. Muhad Baouin, Minister of Labour, the session will highlight key findings on the implementation of temporary government employment contracts, outlining their results and the Ministry’s strategies to enhance these programs.

His Excellency will also address challenges in executing private sector contracts and their impact on the work environment across Oman.
The session will dig deep into the broader implications of temporary employment initiatives, including their positive and negative effects on the national workforce in both public and private sectors. The session will also discuss the need for a robust legal and administrative framework to adapt to the dynamic labour market, influenced by economic fluctuations and the rapid rise of technology and artificial intelligence.
