Oman’s delegation explores new avenues for economic cooperation with Kuwait

KUWAIT: Led by Dr. Nasser bin Rashid Al Maawali, Undersecretary of the Ministry, the delegation met with Ahmed bin Jaed Al Anzi, Secretary-General of Kuwait’s Supreme Council for Planning and Development. Discussions focused on exchanging expertise and exploring collaboration in critical areas, including stimulating the knowledge economy, capacity building, and public policy formulation.

The Omani team was briefed on the operations of Kuwait’s specialized planning centers and engaged in dialogue on methodologies for future foresight, development forecasting, and joint research initiatives. His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Saleh bin Amer Al Kharousi, Oman’s Ambassador to Kuwait, attended the discussions.
The delegation also visited the Arab Planning Institute, where they were received by Dr. Abdullah Fahd Al Shami, Director General. The visit centered on bolstering ties between Oman and the Institute, renowned for its training, administrative development, and economic research expertise. Discussions included enhancing training programs to build capabilities across diverse economic fields and exploring strategic partnerships to support Oman’s developmental goals.
