Muscat: According to the CPA’s statistical indicators report for the first quarter of 2025, a total of 7,640 consumer complaints and 1,882 reports were received from January to March. These figures point to growing public confidence and increased engagement with the Authority’s reporting channels.
As part of intensified field operations, CPA teams conducted 93,923 inspection visits across various commercial sectors. This led to the seizure of 14,324 violating goods and the identification of 1,638 commercial violations. These measures were part of sustained efforts to clamp down on illegal practices and uphold consumer rights.
In a key outcome, the Authority successfully recovered over RO 700,829.72 for consumers during the same period, reflecting its efficient dispute resolution and enforcement strategies.
