The gathering focused on enhancing cooperation between the private sectors of Oman and Saudi Arabia, with particular emphasis on advancing existing joint ventures.
His Excellency Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the OCCI, hailed the forum as a testament to the growing relationship between the two nations and how it reflects the visionary leadership of both countries, striving for economic integration that aligns with the aspirations of both the people of the country.
Al Rawas highlighted that the forum builds on previous efforts by the Oman Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and the Omani-Saudi Business Council to identify and activate actionable projects.
His Excellency Saud Al-Qablan, Deputy CEO of the Services Exports Sector in Saudi Arabia, emphasized the role of public-private partnerships in achieving mutual economic goals under Saudi Vision 2030 and Oman Vision 2040. He also pointed to Saudi Arabia’s global achievements, including hosting the 2034 World Cup and Expo 2030 in Riyadh, as milestones in economic advancement.
The event featured a detailed presentation by Sheikha Al-Alawi, an economic researcher at OCCI, who showcased Oman’s strategic advantages, including its prime location, special economic zones, and investment incentives. Abdulaziz Al Falasi from the Saudi Export Development Authority elaborated on cooperative strategies and export development initiatives in the services sector.
