KUWAIT: The opening dialogue session, led by Khalid bin Sulaiman Al-Salhi, Director General of Marketing for Commercial Affairs at Madayn, highlighted Oman’s competitive edge in the manufacturing sector. Al-Salhi emphasized Oman’s incentives for Kuwaiti investors, its focus on leveraging local content, and the role of advanced technology in enhancing competitiveness in international markets.
Real estate and hotel development were also in the spotlight during the third session, with Eng. Sulaiman Al Siyabi from Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning outlined key legislation and opportunities in projects such as Sultan Haitham City. Al Siyabi highlighted the potential for joint ventures in real estate and hotel projects that align with the growing demands of the tourism and housing sectors in both nations.
Food security formed another pivotal discussion, with Habib Khaled Al-Munawar, Secretary of the Food Union in Kuwait, addressing the challenges and opportunities for collaborative investments. He stressed the importance of joint strategies to ensure sustainable food supplies and the development of shared solutions to pressing issues.
Organized by the Supervisory Team for the Promotion of Omani Products (OPEX) in collaboration with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the forum served as a platform to explore deeper economic integration. Accompanying the sessions, an exhibition showcased investment prospects across various industries.
