Muscat: As part of its ongoing commitment to safeguard its citizens during regional tensions, the Sultanate of Oman has successfully completed the third phase of a comprehensive evacuation operation. This initiative, overseen by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in coordination with the Omani Embassy in Tehran, facilitated the safe return of 193 Omani nationals from the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas to Khasab by sea.

In a strong demonstration of humanitarian responsibility, Oman also extended its support to foreign nationals, evacuating 158 individuals of various nationalities from affected regions.

In a parallel operation, 155 Omani citizens stranded in Iraq were safely repatriated by air, further underscoring the government’s swift and strategic response in ensuring the welfare of its citizens abroad.

These evacuation efforts reflect Oman’s proactive diplomacy and humanitarian approach in times of regional uncertainty, prioritizing the safety and dignity of all evacuees.
