Moscow: A new “Omani Publications Corner” has been officially inaugurated at the Chechen State Pedagogical University, symbolizing a significant step forward in cultural collaboration between the National Museum of Oman and the Russian academic institution.
The launch aligns with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation, highlighting the commitment of both nations to deepen cultural and educational ties.
The Omani Publications Corner is designed to support non-Arabic-speaking students pursuing Omani studies by providing access to Oman’s rich civilizational and intellectual legacy. The initiative aims to enhance mutual understanding and promote academic and research exchanges.
The collection at the corner includes a wide array of books and publications covering literature, language, history, science, media, arts, Islamic studies, geography, and environmental topics.
In parallel, the National Museum’s Learning Center organized a cultural program for 180 students from schools in Muscat Governorate. The program introduced Omani students to Russian literature through curated literary and artistic works, offering them a glimpse into the richness of Russian language and culture and expanding their global cultural awareness.
