Muscat : His Excellency Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, welcomed India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, highlighting the enduring partnership between the two nations.
In a post on X, H.E. Albusaidi wrote: “A pleasure to welcome dear friend Dr. S. Jaishankar, India’s Minister of External Affairs, for the 8th Indian Ocean Conference. We also celebrated 70 years of Oman-India diplomatic relations, a testament to the enduring partnership between our two countries, and launched a commemorative book that chronicles our shared history and the deep bonds that continue to flourish.”
A key highlight of the celebrations was the unveiling of a joint logo symbolising the deep historical ties between Oman and India. The logo, designed to reflect the shared heritage and strong bonds between the two countries, was presented by both Foreign Ministers.
The two ministers also jointly launched a book titled ‘Mandvi to Muscat: Indian Community and the Shared History of India and Oman’. This publication chronicles the shared history of the two nations and the contributions of the Indian community in Oman, further emphasizing the depth and breadth of their longstanding relationship.
