Oman Air wins ‘Best Airline Staff in the Middle East’ award

Oman Air has won ’Best Airline Staff in the Middle East’ at Skytrax World Airline Awards 2021—voted for by air travellers based on their own experiences. The award was announced online this year and recognizes the commitment of Oman Air’s staff to providing their guests with exceptional customer care, a seamless passenger experience, and world-renowned Omani hospitality. This year’s award of ‘Best Airline Staff in the Middle East’ follows wins in the same category in 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2017.

Eng. Abdulaziz Al Raisi, Chief Executive Officer, Oman Air, commented: “We are thrilled that our staff have once again been recognized by the Skytrax World Airline Awards for their outstanding service. To know that our guests value the high standards of hospitality they provide is a reward in itself and reminds us of the importance of exceptional customer care and quality service. This prestigious accolade will inspire us to even greater heights as we continue to deliver our promise of a premium flying experience for all our guests.”

Oman Air has continued to receive awards from industry bodies, consumer groups and publications around the world. Notably in 2021, the airline was awarded a Five Star rating in the Major Airline category from the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), a Skytrax 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating, and a Skytrax 5-Star COVID-19 Lounge Safety Rating for its lounge at Muscat International Airport. The carrier and its Holidays division also earned the Safe Travels Stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).

The airline has a fleet of 49 aircraft and currently operates a reduced network of 34 destinations (including Muscat) due to COVID-19 entry regulations around the world. By 2022, it expects to increase to 44 destinations.
