Number of COVID patients rising in Thrissur

Of the total 204 cases reported in Thrissur district has been going up alarmingly. Fifty people were cured and three people died. Of the 151 currently undergoing treatment in the district, one is in critical condition.
The number of health workers affected by the disease, including doctors and nurses, has also increased.
There are many cases where the source of the disease was unknown. Health department officials had warned that vigilance was needed in Thrissur district.
The lock down in eight panchayats, two municipalities and 12 divisions of the corporation have been tightened.
The Central Warehouse Center of Kuriyachira, which is home to four sick workers, was on high alert. More than three hundred people have been kept under observation from this area alone.
Meanwhile, TN Prathapan MP has demanded a complete lockdown in Thrissur district. KV Abdulkhadar MLA also said that steps should be taken through unity. The MLA also demanded that the district administration take the initiative.
