Muscat : The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) has been officially awarded its Institutional Accreditation Certificate by the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA), marking a significant milestone in the university’s academic journey.
NUST had earlier submitted its application for institutional accreditation. Following this, the OAAAQA formed an external review team tasked with evaluating the university’s overall performance and quality standards.
As part of the review process, the team conducted interviews with over 362 individuals, including members of the university’s governance bodies, academic and administrative staff, students, and external stakeholders. In addition to these interviews, the team reviewed a wide range of supporting documents and evidence to ensure the institution met the required criteria.
This achievement reflects NUST’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards, robust governance practices, and delivering quality education in line with Oman’s national framework for higher education excellence.
The accreditation not only reinforces the university’s reputation in the Sultanate but also strengthens its ability to attract both local and international students, enhancing its role in Oman’s educational and socio-economic development.
