Mammootty’s One and Suresh Gopi’s Kaaval in trouble as outdoor shoot dilemma continues

The novel coronavirus outbreak has literally affected all courses of our living, and the entertainment sector is no different. Due to the pandemic outbreak, all the theaters in Kerala are closed, and the recent surge in positive cases indicate that movie halls will not be opened in the near future. As uncertainty looms up, the shooting of two big-budget movies are being apparently stalled as the government has not given consent to conduct outdoor shooting.

Mammootty’s One and Suresh Gopi’s Kaaval

According to reports, filming of movies like ‘One’ and ‘Kaaval’ are almost completed, and the makers have to shoot only a few outdoor sequences. Even though the government has given consent to filmmakers to carry out shooting by abiding COVID-19 guidelines, authorities have not issued permission to conduct filming in outdoor locations.

Mammootty as Chief Minister in One

Apart from Mammootty, the film also stars Murali Gopy, Joju George, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Nimisha Sajayan in other prominent roles.

Suresh Gopi aims comeback with Kaaval

Kaaval is one of the most anticipated films of the year, as it marks the comeback of Suresh Gopi in an action avatar after a long hiatus. The film is being directed by Nithin Renji Panicker whose debut movie was ‘Kasaba’.

The teaser of ‘Kaaval’ was released on June 26, and it received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. In a recent interaction with an online news channel, Nithin had revealed that Kaaval will be a family thriller with adequate doses of action.
