Malayalam filmmaker Sachy dies

Malayalam filmmaker and screenwriter KR Sachidanandan, popularly known as Sachy, breathed his last on June 18 at the Jubilee Mission Hospital in Thrissur, Kerala. On June 16, the director suffered a cardiac arrest and was put on a ventilator.

Earlier this week, Sachy had undergone a total hip replacement surgery at another hospital. But, before his second surgery, he suffered a cardiac arrest and was shifted to the Jubilee Mission Hospital for further treatment.
