Major Administrative rejig in Kerala

Dr. Vishwas Mehta IAS will become the new Chief Secretary of Kerala. He is the currently the Additional Chief Secretary for Home, Vigilance, Water Resources, Housing, Coastal Shipping and Inland  Navigation.

Revenue Secretary V. Venu IAS has been shifted and transferred as the Secretary of Planning Board and A.Jaya Tilak IAS has been appointed in his place. T.K. Jose IAS is the new Home Secretary.

Sreelekha and Shankar Reddy will become Director Generals of Police. Sreelekha will become the chief of the Fire Force and Reddy will continue as the Road Safety Commissioner.

M.R. Ajitkumar is the new Transport Commissioner. Trivandrum Collector K. Gopalakrishnan IAS has been transferred to Malappuram and Navjot Khosa IAS has been appointed as the new collector of Trivandrum. Alappuzha Collector has been transferred to Kottayam.

The decisions were taken during the cabinet meeting on May 27.
