LuLu Mall denies spread of COVID-19 among staff

Officials of LuLu Mall at Edappally, Kochi has denied rumours in the social media that COVID-19 is spreading among its employees and some them have been quarantined.
People are allowed into the mall only after their temperature is checked at the entrance using the latest equipment, and the mall follows all world-class protocols, officials said.

In a notice officials said that this news is false and is being spread with malicious intent. If anyone who has visited the mall is confirmed with COVID-19, LuLu Mall along with the Directorate of Health Services and the district authorities would immediately inform the public through newspapers and news channels, officials of LuLu Mall said. Legal action would be initiated against those spreading rumours through social media, officials said.
The details about those spreading rumours against the mall would also be sent to the police. People should not fall prey to such rumours, LuLu group media coordinator N.B. Swaraj told The Gulf Indians.
