Kuwait City : As part of Kuwait’s efforts to advance its national digital transformation agenda, Minister of Finance Noura Al-Fares held a key discussion with Chris Lindsley, Vice President of Customer Engineering for Google Cloud covering the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
The meeting focused on enhancing strategic cooperation between Kuwait and Google Cloud, particularly under the framework of an existing partnership agreement aimed at modernizing digital infrastructure across all government entities.
The goal of this collaboration is to build robust digital capabilities within public sector institutions and accelerate the shift towards a cloud-based operating model. Both parties highlighted the benefits of full-scale digital transformation, emphasizing efficiency, transparency, and security.
The Ministry of Finance noted that transitioning to cloud infrastructure represents a pivotal part of Kuwait’s broader economic reforms. The ministry itself is among the first government entities undergoing this transformation.
The government also reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
This initiative underscores Kuwait’s long-term vision of becoming a digitally empowered state, with public institutions leading the change through strategic technology partnerships.
