KOCHI:
Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) celebrated National Technology Day by organising a conclave amid a display of more than 100 commercially-viable technologies. The conclave, which featured sessions on technology-transfer, grants and funds of KSUM, also hosted a technology expo that showcased the eminence of the country’s leading R&D institutions, a press release said.
Inaugurated by KSUM Manager Sumi P., the event near Aluva had its opening session addressed by experts Dr. Amar Nishad, Dr. Rekha Lakshmanan, Dr. Deepu Krishnan, Mr. Bergin S. Russel and Mr. Amal M.R. Organised on May 10 at KMEA Engineering College in Edathala, 30 km north of the city, the event was attended by startups, students and aspiring entrepreneurs.
The technology expo showcased commercially-viable technologies from institutions like ICAR-CPCRI, ICAR-CTCRI, ICAR-CIFT, KUFOS and Kerala Agricultural University. It gave startups and aspiring entrepreneurs an opportunity to see state-of-the-art technologies and interact with scientists from R&D institutions. Also, there was an exhibition of marketable technological knowhow developed by research institutions in Kerala.
KSUM is the nodal agency of the Kerala government for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
