Kerala to hold special assembly session on Dec.31

A special assembly session against the Union Agriculture Act will be held on December 31. The House will meet on a the date fixed after Governor Arif Mohammed Khan and the Government reached an agreement. The governor agreed with the government’s explanation for the emergency meeting.

The Governor had asked the Chief Minister to explain the urgency of the meeting. The Chief Minister replied by explaining the urgency of the situation. The governor is not interested in going to court as a dispute with the government.

The cabinet has recommended that the assembly convene on December 31. The assembly, scheduled to convene on December 23, was adjourned following opposition from the Governor.
