Kerala reports 6,268 new COVID-19 cases on Jan 29

Kerala reported 6,268 new Covid-19 cases and 6,398 recoveries on January 29, informed Health Minister KK Shailaja in a press statement. The test positivity rate was recorded at 10.66 percent in the state.

Of the new cases, 5,647 contracted the virus through contact. Twenty-two COVID deaths were also confirmed in the last 24 hours. With this, COVID death toll in the state rose to 3,704.

So far 8,41,444 have been cured of the virus.
