Kerala plus two exam results declared, Ernakulam best performing district

As many as 85.13 percent students who took the Class 12 final examinations in Kerala are qualified for higher education as the results were announced by the Department of Higher Education (DHSE) on Wednesday. Kerala Education Minister C Raveendranath announced the results.

As many as 3,19,782 qualified for higher studies.

The pass percentage for the Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) students is 81.8%.

Around 4,42,434 candidates took the examination this year. 114 schools registered 100% results.

18,510 secured A-plus for all subjects.

While the government schools recorded 82.19 percent pass, the figure was 88.01 percent for aided schools and 81.33 percent for unaided schools.

Ernakulam has the highest pass percentage in HSE with 89.02 percent, Kasragod has the least with 78.66percent.

The exams were conducted in two phases amid COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Exams had begun in March and the pending exams due to lockdown were held in May. Government had clarified that those students who couldn’t attend the exams in May would be given a chance later.

Meanwhile, the minister said that certain changes will be made to the Class 12 certificates from this year. The new and improved certificate will bear the photo of the candidate along with details of parents.
