Kerala govt to decentralize cancer treatment.

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has informed that the cancer treatment in the state will be decentralized by integrating major cancer treatment centres with medical colleges and government hospitals.

According to the minister, all government hospitals will allocate a day for operating  cancer screening clinics every week. A new app, registry and portal will be launched exclusively for this.

CM put forth this plan while speaking at the online inaugural event marking the beginning of the second phase of the government’s Aardram Mission project.

He said that the decentralization of cancer treatment in the state will be part of the mission’s second phase

CM also revealed the interventions planned by the government to identify lifestyle diseases and zoonotic diseases.
