INTERNATIONAL CHAMBER HOSTED “SRUTHI MATHAA..LAYA PITHAA” MONTHLY CARNATIC MUSIC CONCERT SERIES IN THE MONTH OF MAY, BY DEDICATING TO THE ANTI-DRUGS CAMPAIGN INTERNATIONALLY

Tripunithura, Kerala : International Chamber for Music has hosted “Sruthi Mathaa..Laya Pithaa” monthly carnatic music concert series in the month of May, by dedicating to the Anti-Drugs campaign internationally. Musicians and Artists performed May month concert from GN Swamy Sangeetha Vidyalayam, Tripunithura.

“Shruti Mathaa ..​ Laya Pitha” Shruti and Laya, both are important for Carnatic Music, Hindustani Music, Kathakali Music and infact of any kind of music. Music is divine and it is a gift of god.   “MUSIC SHOULD BE THE ADDICTION OF THE LIVES. NOT DRUGS”, Music has healing ability as per research certain ragas to impact positive energies like Mohanam, Shankarabharanam, Ananda Bhairavi etc.  I wish to emphasise that while pursuing studies or works or business, if one can spend time to learn or listen music, will return in getting concentration and happiness. I appreciate International Chamber for their all efforts taking to promote Carnatic Music and empowering Musicians and Artists. We focus on new and innovative styles to promote Carnatic Music internationally.  After completing successful 5 years in organizing International Ganesha Sangeethotsavam, I am happy to let you know that the next Sangeethotsavam is scheduled on 27^th August 2025. Sruthi Mathaa.. Laya Pithaa monthly concert series which began in March has successfully completed 2 programmes at the heart of music life to peaceful elements – “Sruthi and Laya”. Whether we are performing or listening, these elements draws into deep concentration and help us connect with divinity through Bhakthi. Through these initiatives, our aim is to spread the spiritual and transformative power of music across borders turning into a positive and uplifting force in peoples lives. In line with this mission, this month concert is dedicated to raising awareness for Anti-drug campaigns. We believe that music can inspire charge and offer a healthy soulful alternative to harmful habits. Our team work in International Chamber has resulted the success of all our activities which we are doing to promote talented upcoming and professional Musicians and Artists internationally. As the Secretary of GN Swamy Sangeetha Vidyalayam, I am proud to host this month programme from our very own institution with our Musician and artists. Said by Tripunithura Aasthana Vidwan Sri. The May month Concert of the International Chamber was hosted from Tripunithura, Kerala on 16^th May, 2025 with the eminent musician and artists.  On Vocal: Sri. N T Sanathana Shenoy, Tripunithura,  On Violin, Vidwan Sri Sri Eramalloor Bijoy, on Mridangam, Vidwan Sri Elamakkara M K Anilkumar and on Ghatom, Vidwan Sri Rajnarayan were perfumed in the carnatic music concert.

Surthi Mathaa Laya Pithaa carnatic classical music concert series, the first of its kind in the Carnatic Music history to provide international platform for NRIs and Domestic musicians and artists to perform through its monthly concerts internationally. Alternative months the musical concerts will host from India and Internationally.

International Chamber for Indian Music & Culture is an international initiative of Parakkadathu Koyickal Trust (PK Koyickal Trust), Tripunithura, Kerala and which is affiliated with Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, the Govt. of Kerala has launched first of its kind Carnatic Music Online Monthly Concerts for NRIs and Domestic Musicians and Artists.

Nadam , Swaram, Shruthi, Ragam, Thalam…. – In Carnatic music SRUTHI or PITCH is considered as the MOTHER and LAYAM or RHYTHAM from THAALAM is considered as the FATHER of each Geetham, Varnam and Keerthanas. “Sruthi MAATHA Laya PITHAA”.. The International Chamber will be dedicated INTERNATIONAL CHAMBER MONTHLY ONLINE CARNATIC MUSIC CONCERT to all esteemed MOTHER’S in the name of Goddesses Durga Devi, Lakshmi Devi and Saraswathy Devi. Minimum of 6 concerts will be organized from India and 6 concerts from Internationally.  

The International Chamber will be organizing Monthly Concerts on EVERY 2^nd FRIDAYS and this is the yet another International Initiative of Monthly International Concerts from Tripunithura, The Royal City of Kerala.  

Monthly Concerts are focused to promote and propagate Carnatic Music along with Talented, upcoming and amateur Musicians and Artists Internationally. Each monthly programme will be telecasted through PK Koyickal Trust, various Media and Channels of India and abroad as well.  PK Koyickal Trust International Chamber will conduct Carnatic Music Concerts monthly by providing opportunities for NRI Musicians and Artists in alternative months and will provide Domestic Musicians and Artists subsequently to perform in this first of its kind international platform.  Currently International Chamber is connected musicians and artists from 12 Countries and planning to provide more opportunities to them through these monthly programmes.
