Doha: The Indian community in Qatar will mark the country’s 78th Independence Day with a celebration at the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) under the leadership of the Indian Embassy. The event will take place on Thursday, with flag hoisting scheduled for 7:00 PM.
The program will commence at 6:30 PM with access granted to attendees. The flag hoisting will be followed by a welcome speech from ICC President A.P. Manikandan. Ambassador Vipul will deliver a message from the President of India.
Following the flag hoisting, cultural programs will be presented by the ICC Dance Team and the Skills Development Centre Dance Team. The celebrations will also feature performances from various local community groups and dignitaries.
The Indian Embassy will provide live coverage of the Independence Day event through its official Facebook and YouTube channels.
