MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday headed to Turkey for a two-day state visit with a high-ranking official delegation. The visit, the first by an Omani Sultan to Turkiye in nearly 40 years, will include discussions with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan aimed at expanding cooperation in trade, investment, education, defence and other sectors.
His Majesty is accompanied by His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, His Highness Sayyid Nabigh bin Talal Al Said; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority; Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Said Al Jahwari, Ambassador of Oman to Turkey.
