MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a telephone conversation this evening with Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic.
They reviewed the relations of friendship and cooperation between Oman and Italy, stressing the importance of promoting them in various spheres to serve the joint interests.
They also exchanged views on a set of regional and international issues, most notably the talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America.
In this context, the Italian Prime Minister expressed Italy’s appreciation for Oman’s pivotal role in advocating dialogue and diplomacy, in a manner that contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region and the world at large.
On his turn, His Majesty the Sultan extended his gratitude to the Italian government for the facilitations it provided, which contributed significantly to hosting the second round of talks in Rome last Saturday.
