RIYADH: His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki bin Mahmoud Al Said, Oman’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia has completed the term of his diplomatic mission in the country.
His Highness Sayyid Faisal was appointed as the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its Permanent Representative to the Islamic Cooperation Organisation in December 2020 through a Royal Decree No 2020/129 by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
On Wednesday, His Excellency Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia received Sayyid Fasial to bid farewell on the occasion of the end of his term as Ambassador.
His Excellency Adel Al Jubeir appreciated the good efforts made by His Highness Sayyid Faisal in strengthening relations between the two countries.
Data released by National Centre for Statistics and Information shows a significant rise in trade between the two nations. Omani non-oil exports to Saudi Arabia have doubled since 2020, reaching over RO1bn at the end of 2023. This increase is attributed to growth in exports of mineral products, machinery, electrical equipment and food products.
