Half short film festival reaches its final stage

“Retrospective”, the forerunner of the Palakkad-based Insight Creative Group’s 10th International Hiku Amateur Little Film (Half) Festival, has launched online on September 4. The fair, which lasts for 10 days, is entering its final stage.

On September 12 and 13, the final stage of the film festival will be held from 10 am to 5 pm. Forty-three selected films from India and abroad and about 100 films in the non-competition category will be screened. This time the fair is being held online in the wake of the COVID epidemic. The fair can be viewed online for free at www.palakkadinsight.

 

The eminent jury comprising renowned film critic Dr. C. S. Venkateshwan, eminent voice actor T. Krishnanunni and eminent film director Dr. Asha Achi Joseph will give away the Golden Screen Award consisting of Rs. 50,000, a trophy and certificate designed by sculptor V.K Rajan, will be presented to the winner. Five others will be awarded Rs 5,000 and a citation each.

Delegates also have the opportunity to interact with filmmakers online at the end of each competition film.

Many film talents will be participating throughout the fair. K. R. Chethalloor, K. V. Vincent, C. K. Ramakrishnan, Manikoth Madhavadev and Methil Komalankutty are leading the festival.
