Web desk 07/06/2020

The Kerala government has released new guidelines stating that that employees should reach government institutions except those residing or working in hotspots. Everyone should get to work from June 8 but Saturdays will be holidays until further notice.

Mothers of babies under the age of one year will be allowed to work from home. Those who are seven or more months pregnant will get relief.

Casual leave will be granted to those affected by the virus. During the COVID period, the Secretariat and some other government departments functioned on shift basis. It is also noteworthy that the new proposals came in the backdrop of trains and buses resuming normal services.
