Give us votes, and we will return a vaccine: BJP leadership in Bihar

NIRMAL YESODA

As the entire scientific community is busy formulating an effective vaccine against the coronavirus pandemic, the election manifesto of BJP for the upcoming Bihar legislative assembly election has promised free coronavirus vaccine to everyone. The manifesto also assures more than 19 lakh jobs over the next five years, if the party gets elected in the upcoming elections.

The election manifesto named ‘Paanch sutra, ek lakshya, 11 sankalp’ was released by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman. In the manifesto, the BJP leadership promises to give free coronavirus vaccination to everyone when ICMR approves a vaccine.

“As soon as a coronavirus vaccine will be available for production at a mass scale, every person in Bihar will get free vaccination. This is the first promise mentioned in our poll manifesto,” said Nirmala Sitaraman.

BJP’s new election manifesto is now receiving negative reviews from all corners. The opposition claimed that BJP is making use of the pandemic for politics, and they are trying to sell the fear of death.

Prominent Indian jurist and former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju also criticized the manifesto of BJP for the upcoming elections.

“How can free Covid vaccine be offered to Bihar when it has not even been discovered yet? I spoke to NRI friends in America who said it is believed it will be discovered at end of 2021,” posted Katju on his Facebook page.
