Fujairah Digital Government Explores Dubai’s Private Security Framework During SIRA Visit

Dubai: Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Director General of Fujairah Digital Government, paid an official visit to the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) on Wednesday to gain insights into Dubai’s leading model for regulating the private security sector.

Sheikh Mohammed was welcomed by Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis, CEO of SIRA, who accompanied him on a detailed tour of the agency’s state-of-the-art facilities. The visit highlighted SIRA’s critical role in enhancing national security, tackling organized crime, and fostering collaboration between public institutions and private security entities to build a safer, more secure society.

The tour commenced at the SIRA Innovation Exhibit, which featured cutting-edge security technologies, smart systems, and ongoing strategic projects. The delegation also visited the SIRA Security Museum, which showcases a unique collection of historical surveillance tools and traces the technological evolution of the security industry.

A key highlight of the visit was the SIRA Testing Laboratory, operated by highly trained Emirati specialists. More than a testing hub, the lab is instrumental in the development of locally engineered security technologies now being deployed for the first time in the field.

Expressing his gratitude for the visit, Al Saleis emphasized the UAE’s commitment to adopting global best practices and advancing the security sector through innovation and proactive strategy. He noted that SIRA remains dedicated to staying ahead of emerging threats by integrating next-generation technologies into its regulatory and operational frameworks.

The visit concluded with discussions on potential areas of cooperation between SIRA and the Fujairah Digital Government. Al Saleis reiterated SIRA’s readiness to collaborate with national and international partners to enhance both digital and physical security infrastructures across the UAE.
